ZARB Unconventional Champagne 5.1.2011

Am Mi 05.01.2011
The brand takes its name from the French slang word for bizarre. Zarb, then, is no traditional champagne brand, but rather traditional champagne with an unconventional look, based on an unconventional idea. Because why drink champagne only at times that tradition prescribes? Why not when your boat is sinking? At your ex-girlfriend's wedding? While waiting for a bus? During confession? Or because it's Tuesday? Everywhere. Always. Here. Now. Zarb introduces anticyclical champagne drinking.

Zarb is made in the Marne valley, with grapes from the vineyards of the Baron family. The family has been making champagne there for over three centuries – and the many prizes they have won suggest they have been doing it rather well. Of course, a champagne for any day does not have to come in an everyday bottle. So Zarb has broken with the outward clichés for champagne bottles. This brand will be available in dozens of sensational bottle designs. Some of the photography for the first series of designs is by none other than famous artist and photographer Cornelie Tollens.

Those who wish can even create their own bottle designs when they order more than 5000 bottles –within the boundaries of the Zarb idea, naturally. For instance, a special edition Zarb bottle has been developed for the launch of the book Hope by writer and brand strategist Roland van der Vorst.
