Montante Maserati 8CTF Limited Edition 6.12.2010

In celebration of their famous 1940 win at the Indianapolis 500 known as the "Boyle Special," Maserati teamed up with cult Italian bike builder Cicli Montante to create a limited-edition bicycle resembling the victorious fixed head, eight-cylinder 8CTF race car. This release is limited to only 200 bicycles, in commemoration to how many laps driver Wilbur Shaw completed in the 1940 Indy 500.

The car was named the Boyle Special after the US based sponsor who financed Maserati's expeditions. Montante has applied numerous correlations between the car and the bike, including a replica of the Boyle Special logo on the top tube, the authentic 30's script on the down tube, embossed tridents on the hubs and the same enameled badge on the head tube that appeared on the Maserati's bonnet.
